WHAT IS BOOKCASTER.COM?
This site is a place for authors to promote their books through video, and a place for visitors to watch those videos. Author listings can include a book synoposis, excerpt, links to author's website, reviews and additional links.
WHAT IS A VIDEO PREVIEW FOR A BOOK?
Book videos are like movie trailers, but designed to promote a specific book. The content can be as simple as a voiceover passage reading to a full-blown mini-movie with special effects and music. The short video format is designed to promote interest in the book.
Videos can be home-made, and there are a number of companies that will help authors create them.

HOW CAN I KEEP UP WITH NEW LISTINGS?
It's easy! Each category has an RSS feed link near the bottom of the page. Simply drag that icon to the top of your browser or add the feed to your favorite RSS feed reader.
HOW CAN I ADD A BOOK TO THE DIRECTORY?
If you have created a video trailer for your book, you may be able to add a listing. You will need to create an account and fill in all the required details. Your book will also need to adhere to our Terms of Use.
HOW LONG WILL MY BOOK LISTING LAST?
Once your listing is approved, it will remain on the site for one year. After that, it will be suspended from the directory. However, you have the option to extend your listing for additional annual terms. The expiration is in place to help new books gain exposure.
TIPS FOR YOUR BOOKCASTER LISTING:
1. Get your listing information together before you fill out the submission form. It will make the process go quicker.
2. Have your book video uploaded to a social media sharing site such as YouTube, etc.
3. Prepare a cover graphic. It should be in JPG format, and no larger than 50k in file size. For best results, it should be 200x200 pixels square, as this is the size we display cover images.
All videos, blurbs, and excerpts must be 'PG-rated' for a mainstream audience. (That pretty much means NO erotic or adult books allowed - sorry!) If your listing is deemed inappropriate for a PG rating, it will be removed from the site.
